Registrants will receive their Zoom link no later than 10:30am PT the day of.  \nAll things must come to an end – including buildings. But does everything at the end of a building’s life need to end? New construction and renovation projects continue to deplete vast quantities of resources\, many of which go to waste. It doesn’t have to be this way. You can build efficiently with sustainable products\, but reusing building materials salvaged from old structures is yet another way to decarbonize. \nEncouraging materials reuse reduce the amount of embodied carbon in our buildings and can help reduce waste from deconstruction. In this webinar\, we will explore a case study on salvaged lumber. Federal Center South in Seattle\, Washington includes reclaimed timber from a warehouse that previously occupied the site.
