This series of sessions will help the architectural profession understand the rapidly changing landscape\, the local issues facing communities\, and strategies for resilient design and disaster response; the AIA in California is connecting policy makers\, government officials\, and practitioners uniting architects in building a more just\, equitable\, and resilient future. \nIn response to the devastating recent fires in the Los Angeles region\, Architects across California have stepped forward to support the rebuilding process through volunteer and pro bono work. As these efforts grow\, so does the importance of understanding the legal and ethical responsibilities that come with them. This webinar\, a joint initiative by AIA Pasadena & Foothill and AIA California\, is designed to address the professional liability risks and obligations Architects face when providing voluntary services after a disaster. \nThis webinar will provide insight into how the standard of care is interpreted in non-traditional service arrangements\, along with key considerations related to self-certification practices in post-disaster recovery projects.
