Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) are also becoming a common way to house people in California. Establishing the owner’s project requirements and associated performance targets and metrics allows comparative evaluation of different design strategies and options. It also generates the data used in reporting for the 2030 Commitment. A simple illustration is the all-electric ADU showcased in this program.
